No jump-scare, the moments of tension are closer to what we tasted with the Swedish neighbors of Tarsier Studios and their Little Nightmares franchise. The difference in size between Olle and his assailants is striking, and the situations diversified enough to continue to surprise the player throughout the adventure. While the gnomes offer us a few recreational activities such as hide and seek or the need to bring the “sheep” back to their pen, having to escape the trolls is obviously much more intense, supported by a quality staging. Rather friendly when it comes to gnomes or stone giants, encounters with trolls are on the other hand much more distressing. Because beyond its beautiful landscapes, Bramble: The Mountain King is above all a horrifying title where a whole bunch of creatures rub shoulders.
